It's unfortunate, but people just like to find faults in others. I may point out errors, but usually it is because the grammar is just so terrible I find hard to figure out what the question is.

Depends on the person/poster. I will comment on someone's grammar if I don't like their attitude.
"after all my english is fluent...im intelligent etc etc. isnt that reason enough for me to be granted permanent residence in uk?? " --- this is from a previous poster which I insulted.
This annoys me. I don't mind so much the grammar but the fact that he said that he was intelligent yet couldn't be bothered to do a spell check or make a decent effort with his post made me annoyed (he also insulted a few other races in his post which aggravated me. I've left the link to this. Feel free to give me the thumbs down if you think I deserve it. ^_^).
Bottom line is if you want people to take you seriously and treat you like an intelligent human being make a decent effort. We understand that you can sometimes miss somethings. We don't care about that. It's when you:
behave arrogant
insult other cultures/countries and display any racist tendencies
comment on other people's grammar when yours isn't okay
write about 1500 words and don't use paragraphs
deliberately go trolling
that's when we get annoyed.
God I sound like a know-it-all don't I? And yes, I'm aware that my grammar isn't perfect. But at least I try. ^_^

Don't you see the deterioration of society? People have to ask people they don't know personal questions like What type of underwear do you like?, What should I eat, chicken or fish? and I knocked up my girlfriend and now she broke up with me. What do I do? This site shows that a decline in the use of common sense in every day people. People are just make a statement of their beliefs. Some people are just absolute dimwits.
Oh, by the way, I'm the one who gives people a thumbs down for bad grammar. If you cannot write well, you cannot talk well. It's like no one paid attention in school and then can't use common sense to make simple decisions.

Give me a break. If his post was "perfect" how could anyone complain? And there are way, way too many posters on here that can't spell or punctuate worth a d@mn.
