my laptop with that kind of specs works fine..It was being used as the family computer but now its just a regular computer now..

Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz processor
DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
I am Vista Ready on a four year old computer.....

Depends on what you're planning to do on your laptop. If you're gaming, I'd say your memory is too low. Everything will run slow. If you're using it to look at porn videos, may run slow. However, if it's just a word processor then it'll be just fine!

My tower is P3 256 ram and 20gb disk xp sp2 and runs fine.
