Typically, one 12 oz bottle of beer is equivalent to one 6 oz glass of wine is equivalent to one shot of liquor. As far as alcohol content.

Beer has less proof than wine has less proof than liquor.

You're comparing the volume to the proof. Not by how drunk you feel

1 bottle of wine us approx 36 oz and 6 beers are approx 72 oz.

You consume less wine of that has a higher alcohol content
You consume more beer to reach that same level of alcohol content.

People will get drunk off one type of drink quicker than the other depending on what they are used to.

People who like wine can drink a few glasses without getting drunk, but can get tipsy off of one beer. Same scenario as if someone who prefers beer and can drink a few without a problem, may get tipsy off one glass of wine.

It just depends on an individual's tolerance and metabolism.

It depends on the types of wine and beer. But on average they have similar alcohol content so then it is just down to volume.
