Question about AT&T/Cingular texting!!?

I have a 200 Text a month plan with Cingular. I'm aware that sending text counts, but I'm confused about receiving text. Does it counts when you receive text OR does it only counts when you receive text AND open it? I'm cautious, so when I receive text, I don't open it but rather I read the title, which contains part of the message to see if it is important enough to open it.

yes you get charged whether you open it or not.

received and if you do not open still counts.
