The book I'm looking for is the following: it was the actual testimony of an Aztec man as recorded by Catholic friers a couple hundred years ago. After the man's testimony reached the King of Spain, the King demanded that the Aztec man not be harmed. However, the Aztec was already dead - killed for not converting to Christianity. I'm looking for the book that contains his testimony. I believe that it is called "Aztec" but I'm unable to actually find it on Amazon.com or anywhere else. If someone can help me locate it, that would be great. If you can find it online, please give me the link. Thank you!

ahoneyaugust - I don't believe that's the one. I heard about this book from a guy who had rescued an old copy (1950's) from the garbage. He wasn't really able to tell me much else about it though

I hate to break it to you, but this book isn't the actual testimony of anything. It's historical fiction. It's very good: I read it a long time ago and you can learn a lot about the Aztecs reading it. But the main character is imaginary. I just saw that Jennings has a new Aztec book too:

Hello,

I found it on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102-2018147-7816124?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=aztec&Go.x=6&Go.y=9

It is by Gary Jennings and is historical fiction, fictcious characters based on real events. Not always accurate but a fun way to learn history non the less.

That will be for you to research! Look up Alibris--"Aztec" for books on historical accounts around the 1515's. There are historical novels that might give you a clue. Otherwise, go to your local library and ask the Reference Librarian to help you!

Is this the book you mean? Seems like the same story you highlighted and is called Aztec too.
