No. I want to do everything I can to slow global warming. It will not help the situation if we are babies (like George Bush and Rush Limbaugh) and say "Waaaa... China is polluting... so we will too!" It WILL help if we do everything in our power to slow our emissions, including working to educate China about the problem.

China are just trying to look after it's people and make them prosperous and have stuff the west has... did you read a story about all the goods made here sent to the west and all the rubbish sent back to be recycled? all the rubbish polluting CHina is appalling I've seen it with my own eyes... some towns have to bring in water by truck as the ground water is so polluted they cant use it... and the food grown there is not good to eat too many heavy metals inthe vegetables, but what can the locals with nothing do?

WATCH IT THERE PAL. China is NOT the biggest polluter in the world, and oh, by the way, did I mention that the United States - yes, the United States - was one of the few countries that refused to sign the international environmental treaty? Unlike the humble China, United States boasts and brags and, well, I don't how many adjective I could think of.

And just in case you haven't noticed, you have problems with grammar and spelling.

Nope / Just want every one to try to reduce it

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- China will become the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter in one year, exceeding the emissions of the U.S. However, China also presents the most investment opportunities for manufacturing products based on new clean technologies, putting the country on both sides of the environmental challenge. These points and many others were discussed by a blue-chip panel of cleantech leaders during the Lux Research Cleantech Discussion Panel on June 15, 2007.

WASHINGTON — President Bush on Thursday proposed far-reaching legislation that would slash air pollution from power plants over the next 16 years. Environmentalists condemned the proposal, saying it wouldn't cut pollution as much as current rules.

The plants that produce America's electricity are heavily regulated, but they still put out significant amounts of soot and smog. The plants have drawn intense scrutiny in the past few years from lawmakers and activists eager to reduce pollution.

The president's proposed "Clear Skies" legislation would cut the plants' output of sulfur dioxide, which causes acid rain, by 73% and their production of nitrogen oxides, which contribute to smog, by 67% by 2018. It would cut mercury, a toxin that damages the nervous system, by 69% by 2018

I don't think China is responsible for the greatest amount of pollution. Perhaps what I remember is incorrect, but I believe we generate more pollutants than China (They are close to us. Also what you measure/define pollution as). Lowering pollutants must be done globablly, however if the United States leads the fight against global warming other countries will follw.

There will always be serious air pollution as long as countries, large or small, become heavily industrialised and there is vehicle population explosion, and huge bush fires.

Every global citizen must still strive to follow guidelines to control the causes of such pollution for the sake of our children and future generations. We have to make sacrifices and assume some responsibility for our immediate environment.

It makes me even more careful about checking labels. Of course the Bush White House has delayed implementation of a law that is supposed to force them to label the food that comes from China, so we have no way to tell. Bush just lets them poison us and pollute the world.

Year One. Your summer is coming. (Mystic Meg says you are going back to college. You are going to study basic English, and lump it)

Year Two. Sees you visiting many Chinese take aways, and very little learning.

Year Three. Bigot. 4x4. Summer abroad via a huge plane. Chinese? couldn't care less.

Well, it's not as though China will be the only one suffering the consequences. Plus, they're polluting so much because we keep buying their stuff. If weren't buying it, they wouldn't be making it.
