The japanese attacked pearl harbor. The wanted to attack the mainland, but their top commander nixed the idea saying "there will be a rifle behind each blade of grass". Which is true. We are an armed citizenry. If you can defeat the military, then you still have the populace to deal with...just as our founders intended (and the democrats want to destroy)

Hard to believe half the answers haven't listed Mexico as a nation currently invading the US.
Right now no nation could produce a successful military invasion. Why would they if they could? It won't be long till we're slaughtering each other in the streets and it will be much easier for China to pick up what's left after we've done the dirty work for them.

Only two countries are capable of doing so, which are China and Russia. China isn't likely to invade the U.S since their isn't much a reason and since they profit greatly from the U.S. Also since the Chinese Navy couldn't stand a chance against the U.S Navy.
Russia isn't likely to do so either since no country is stupid enough to invade the United States. Russia does have man power to do so but they don't have the equipment. By this I mean most of their equipment is out of date and useless piles of junk.
Russia and China are the only countries, that are capable of invading the U.S by themselves. But its not likely to happen atleast in this century unless the U.S decides to attack either of those countries, which isn't likely..

Nothing is impossible...but this one is about a 0.00001% chance of ever happening.
Think of the size of the naval fleet needed to invade a country as big as the US. Airborne troops simply wont be enough. A fleet that size would be noticed almost as soon as it put to sea.
A couple of nukes and it is all over...
Nobody could even come close...
Maybe China or Russia could stage troops in Cuba...but same scenario. A couple of nukes and the whole idea is finished.

It won't happen because America is a super power and if a country even dared to step foot on there soil then they have every right to nuke them back to the stone age.

There is ZERO possibility of an invasion on the US by any other nation. Look up Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There is nothing to be afraid of, we are being lied to by fear mongers in the GOP. let's boot them and take our country back!

Not likely. I think the leaders of any country that even thinks about invading us are smart enough to know that we come together in a crisis and will kick their butts.

Very slim..we have the best military in the world by far and if that fails we still have all of us gun owners out here,that in the end would end up dying for all of you peace lovers out there!

Well the Mexicans are invading and well loads of Foreign troops have planted themselves in Mexico (including Chinese troops).
