None of the above. Actually, Huckabee and Brownback are the ones that are closest to the Christian Right positions, but they haven't gained any traction. Also, Tancredo, Paul, and Hunter would probably be acceptable if they looked that closely (even though Paul has a few points where they'd disagree), but the "religious right" is likely to sit this race out anyway. The big leaders are out: Falwell died, Robertson went crazy (literally) and lost relevance, but embraced Rudy Giuliani anyway. James Dobson has expressed disappointment with all of the front-runners, and seems to be sitting back and waiting to see if any of the second tier candidates will become viable enough for him to endorse. Phyllis Schlafly seems to be behind Hunter, Paul, and Tancredo, in no particular order, and again possibly waiting to see if any of them will become viable. Gary Bauer endorsed McCain. Ralph Reed is kryptonite, and no one wants his endorsement right now. D. James Kennedy is taking it easy after his heart attack, and not getting too involved. Chuck Colson doesn't make political endorsements. And there are no other major leaders of the old "religious right" left. So, you'll have to do your own research and figure out for yourself who they might like. I think the one thing that's certain is that support among Republicans, regardless of their original philosophy, is fragmented. That's why this primary will go down to the wire.

Hmm, a very interesting question; let's see how it breaks down for our Christian brothers and sisters, shall we?

Romney- a Mormon! Egads! That will never do, will it?

Giuliani- Three times married, cheated on two of them, pro abortion, for civil unions. No, no, no. We can't have that!

Thompson- A lobbyist, and snitched to Nixon while at the same time working for the Congress. Hmmm, it seems the only thing Thompson is working for is.....Thompson!

It appears to be quite the quandary, doesn't it? Luckily, there are other choices the Christian right can run to to ease their troubled souls. I would say out of all their choices at the moment, Ron Paul seems to be their only viable option. No matter who their choice is though, they are doomed to failure.

I do not know. Do you? Which one of those three had the abortion?

Seriously, I do not know. I do recall a few months ago seeing something where James Dobson said he did not like Fred.

Romney was recently criticized, and I saw that last night.

I guess that leaves Rudy. LOL I hope this helps you know who to hate.

Huckabee

if they had to choose, it would be thompson, but they would be holding their noses...they consider romney part of a cult, and rudy's personal life and pro-chice background knock him out of consideration...they'd prefer brownback but would be happy with huckabee...if santorum was running they would be loving him

Definitely not Rudy.

I think the other 2 will be on the winning ticket, with Fred leading it.

Romney for sure, ok so he was Pro-Choice but he has changed on that big time based on experiences and he is now Pro-Life.

I use to be Pro-Choice too but i'm Pro-Life now.

Fred sounds more Southern Baptist than the other two.

Ironically, the candidate the Christian Right always supports is the one Satan would probably vote for.
