I have a theory. I do not believe that conservatives as a whole really want to harm "the little guy". It would make no sense and they need the little guy to line their greedy pockets, correct?

But on the opposite side, the liberals really DO want harm to fall upon the rich which is an odd play since all liberal politicians ARE rich.

So one side isn't out to harm any Americans and one is.

Both sets of politicians though are rats.

I don't think it's about "wanting to harm the little guy", so much as not giving a rat'sass about him if it means maximizing shareholders' profits.

How did we taxpayers get stuck with the bills for those major companies that decided not to honor their contractual pension obligations to their employees? These firms are not bankrupt, they just decided not to pay, and the taxpayers get stuck with it.

As far as liberals actually wishing harm upon the rich, I'm not convinced that's the case.

Apathy is as bad as malice in some ways, anyhow.

You're right, they're all a bunch of rats.

Republicrats.

AND Demolicans.

Conservatives understand that in order to make it in business, you need the little guy. This whole Republicans are for the rich is a load of crap perpetuated by liberals.

Liberals do want to punish the rich. They believe in income redistribution. That is punishment for success. Look up CT and you will see Democrats have a super majority in both houses. We have a $900 million surplus and they wanted to raise taxes on the "wealthy". Why? No need for the money. They wanted to take from those who earned it. Thankfully, all that was stuffed by Republicans.

The liberals who are rich have their money in trust funds and do not get taxed at regular income levels. Ever notice that they never talk about capital gains taxes? It is because that tax would affect them.

So by your assessment, all conservatives are filthy rich and our quest in life is to take advantage of the little guy. Right? You couldn't be further from the truth. What most of us want is less government dependency.

I agree with you, we have politicians on both sides that are bought and paid for and we need to rebel and vote them out of office and clean the slate.

Someone else mentioned it but I'll repeat the same thing. Fair Tax is something that needs to be enacted. :)

Wake up and realize that we're not the heathens that so many make us out to be.

Wow, what a misinterpretation of conservatism, or what you're more aptly describing as laissez faire economics.

If you pay your workers so little that they can't afford to buy the products you make, and your fellow corporate execs do the same, you're not going to be in business long, and neither are they.

'But on the opposite side, the liberals really DO want harm to fall upon the rich which is an odd play since all liberal politicians ARE rich'.

So, 'the rich' are 'harmed' by paying higher taxes?
Sorry, I forgot that they can't afford to pay higher taxes.
Get real, man!

Which is the greater evil: Living in a country with an unequal sharing of the blessings or living in a country with an equal sharing in the misery?

So what is the question? Better yet, tell us what your solution is.

I'm not saying I agree with you either way. But your theory has no conclusion.
