If you have hight speed internet at home, then you only need to buy a router and you can connect it with your laptop.

It depends on the connection speed and the Internet Service Provider(ISP) you choose. Most commonly

Dial-up can range from $9 to $25
DSL can Range fom $25 to $75
Cable(Broadband) can range from $45 to $150

If you mean Wireless you still need the ISP plus a Wireless Modem(it may be preinstalled in your laptop if not you will need a USB or Wireless Card) as well as a Wireless router Both the Router and the Modem cost extra and can be bought at most electronics stores.

Depends what provider your using. I suggest going with the same company that provides your phone service. They might have special combination offers with phone & internet. If you are looking for a fast internet service, use broadband,or wireless. This way,you have fast internet service, and it doesn't tie up your phone line, especially if your expecting an important call. Good Luck.

Ask the company where you currently have your service. You will probably switch between the two, so there may not be a noticable differen in price.
