You very soon learn that enabling doesn't work--it further disables the person; that you have to do the job or get out! Your job is to help the client find h/her own strengths and abilities and to develop the endurance to keep at it until they themselves start feeling satisfaction! Tough Love.

You help the client to come to their own discoveries and empower themselves, and let them make their own decisions for what is right for them. And you can talk with the client about the pro's and con's of their decisions, so they make the final decisions for what's best for them.. After all you can't be with them all the time.
