what is an appropriate/ the NORMAL AGE TO START TAKING BIRTH CONTROL PILLS?

I was 15 when I started the pill, I had very irregular periods. Make sure that even if you are on birth control you use a condom because of the risk of STD's. Unless you can be 110% sure that you and your partner are monogomus continue to use condoms.

Any age can be a normal age, as long as you have already started your period. Taking the pill can be good for PMS symptoms, acne, regulation of your cycle, etc.
Girls as young as 13-14 can start taking the pill. Most people are not EMOTIONALLY ready for sex until their late teens/early 20s so you might want to hold off on that, and if you do start having sex, remember that you still must use a condom, as the pills do not protect against any STDs.

I've personally never heard of anyone wanting to use the pill for cramps and acne. In fact, I've heard that it sometimes causes those.

Personally, we are all different and may want the pill for different reasons. Talk to your parents and your OB/primary care physician. I've known people to start as early as 13.

15 or so if your periods are that bad. have you tried taking IB prof? advil? naproxen/aleve?
taking a walk around the block? some pills will increase acne. its hormone related.

talk to your dt. they know whats best for you personally.

I DONT REALLY THINK IT MATTERS WAT AGE.. IF UR HAVIN BAD CRAMPS AND ACNE THEN GO FOR IT!! AND WHEN UR READY 2 HAVE SEX YOULL BE SET!!! AND THERE WILL BE NO DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS OR WIERD SEX TALKS WITH UR PARENTS.
I THINKS ITS BEST TO HAVE BY THE AGE OF 14!!! THERES NO TELLIN WAT WILL HAPPEN AT PARTYS!!!
