An excellent question which requires a simple answer. The wealthy left elitists in Hollywood are scrambling to raise BIG money for Barack Obama because they know that Hillary Clinton is far too polarizing a figure to ever be elected President.
Mr. Cool ~ The Democrats do not need to back Barack Obama to get the black vote. The black vote is taken for granted by the Democrat Party no matter who their nominee may be.

Dems love to promote "minorites." It is much the same with Venus and Serena in tennis, Tiger in golf, Barry Bonds in baseball,... yes, they may be good, but not necessarily the best (and in Bonds' case, he cheated with steroids anyway).
