Is it possible for someone to have such a low level of the pregnancy hormone level that a blood test could give a false negative a week after the missed period? I took depo and depo causes tubal pregnancies in some women so I'm concerned I'm still pregnant because of the symptoms I've had

Yes it is, but once the fertilized egg implants the HCG will show up in blood right away, so if you tested before implantation took place it would be negative.

As a mother of five, with prego tests that came up negative with two of them, yes...your hcg levels can be too low to give a positive result. I would recommend going to see a doctor and getting a blood test if you are that concerned.

No, a blood test will pick up your HCG level no matter how low. A HPT may miss them but not ablood test.

No, a blood test will pick up any level of HCG.

urine test-yes-blood test-NO!!blood tests are pretty accurate
FYI:the way doctors tell if a woman has a miscarrage is to check blood levels-if low then that means miscarriage-because when a woman is pregnant the hormone levels rise from day to day!!!

If you are a week late a blood test would definitely pick it up, even if it were a tubal.
