The U.S.A. has never been a democracy, where the majority rules, and has a direct voice in all issues of great magnitude. The U.S. government is bought, run, and controlled by corporate criminal America, and big money special interests. The people waste their time and energy every few years to elect a president, congress, and the people had little or no voice on how the candidates came to be on the ballot. Speaking of the bullshit doctrine of diversity, the majority of congress is attorneys. Where are the plumbers, electricians, carpenters, policemen, firemen, and other worthy and dignified professions? All of the members of congress (both houses) arrived at their lucrative positions by big money. Poor or average people are not included in the process. Real democracy would mean that we hold a national election to decide whether we invade a sovereign nation such as Iraq. Big issues of national importance and magnitude should be a national decision by direct vote of the people. Examples being the death penalty, or abortion, term limitations for members of congress, etc. Yes, the U.S.A. is rapidly collasping as the nation we have known, as federal laws are not being enforced, when the overwhelming majority want strict enforcement, specifically the immigration statutes. The current President should be impeached because of his refusal to enforce immigration laws. In 1776, there was the American Revolution, when the people had the courage and balls to take action when the government did not represent the people. It can be done again, if enough people read the Declaration of Independence, understand the instructions provided therein, and act. However, the Declaration of Independence is not readily available, and often difficult to locate for the citizens. Your government does not want you to read it, and they certainly don't want you to understand it!

Uh. What part would be falling apart. Big government we have you see. Many aspects to it. Democracy? Alive and well as I see it. Of course it's only a concept, not a reality in any country huh? For instance, the US has never been a democracy has it. We established a "republic" when we laid down the constitution and that's what we've always had. We even pledge allegiance to the flag and to the "republic" for which it stands, right?

Nah, this is nothing new. Government is inefficient by nature. You're just coming face-to-face with that reality. What's happening is that you're becoming a classical conservative. Sadly, you got there just in time to see George and the Bush league steal that term and apply it to something that is nowhere near what a conservative stands for. What we've seen over the past 8 years is government trying to take power over more and more segments of our lives, and we've come to realize that they don't have the ability to run out lives for us. Funny, that's exactly what TRUE conservatives like Goldwater and Reagan have been saying all along. To quote Reagan, "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem”. That pretty much sums it up.
Too bad that most of today's candidates in BOTH parties have lost touch with those ideas. I think Ron Paul is one of the few politicians today who still holds to those classic ideas. Government truly is the worst way to solve most problems. Yet we always look to them FIRST. Instead, society should avoid using force and government power to do anything at least until it has exhausted all other efforts.

Research the North American Union. Just put that in your search engine. Get point of views that include Canadian citizens. I am not anti american. I am pro AMERICA which is something our elected officials in the dem and repub parties do not respect. How many of our states have already ammended the constitution. We vote to destroy our own country because most Americans are so easily influenced by the popularity of those who talk a good game or who are staunch dems or pubs and will not waiver because it takes too much effort and thought. Listen to every candidate closely. The only one who protects our constitution is Ron Paul and both parties absolutely want him out for doing it. Now the choice to learn more of what I say is yours to research.

You think this is falling apart? Because two sides are screaming at eachother, calling eachother evil?
Shoot, I go back to Eisenhower, and nothing has changed. Just a lot more news stations trying to "make the news" instead of "report the news". And all the goofball links on the internet.

Doubt it. no count if it incredibly is, then it incredibly is in basic terms too quickly to tell and we can't have the skill to tell till it sluggish after the two conventions. The Democratic convention is scheduled at an ungainly time- stunning formerly the two exertions Day weekend and then the Republican convention. In different words, the convention bump for Obama is in basic terms no longer measurable. as properly, on the grounds that Omaba's vp p.c.. became so close to to the convention, it incredibly is going to likely be perplexing to work out how Biden is affecting Obama's polls with convention buzz. i think of that a million) the rustic is in basic terms too divided and a pair of) Obama's marketing campaign is in basic terms too tight for Obama to thoroughly crumble this easily and this early. There are too many who in basic terms do no longer elect yet another Republican in place of work and there are too many who are easily inspired with the help of Obama's message.. no count the variety you look at this, it incredibly is going to likely be an in depth race. i think of it incredibly is in basic terms too close to to call at this element, and pollnumbers as of stunning now are next to beside the point. And no, being tied isn't "dropping it".

What makes you think it is falling apart? Just because two sides disagree? This has been going on since our government was formed. Just because you happen to be alive to witness the disagreements does not mean it has gotten bad enough to fall apart.

Our government is in a real nose dive! Our democratic traditions are in danger and people need to wake up and get involved. This bunch of weasels are grinning behind our backs about the stuff they have gotten away with in our federal government. The incompetence is staggering so you can imagine the waste going on. That Bush has sold all of us down the river with his propaganda and greed. It is not so far gone that we can't get it back, so vote the bums out.

I feel we are not falling apart.our elected officials made decisions that we elected them to make.I feel many decisions have not been in our best interest and we as voters will continue to elect officials who we hope will make the best decisions possible. That is the luxury of having set term limits that allow for rotating officials who may change previous bad decisions and/or implemnt new decisions whether good or bad.

Well the Liberal Democrats want the Courts to speak instead of we the people.
They know that we the people wanna ban Abortion, so they use the courts to keep Abortion legal in an effort to force us to like it.
