The myth goes "Virgo's are from Vulcan" and to answer your question yes one day Vulcan will be virgo's ruling planet. Blessings!!!

Eventually, yes. Just as Saturn was considered ruler of Capricorn and Aquarius before Uranus was discovered, although Saturn is still considered to co-rule Aquarius. The consensus is it will be Vulcan. But until then, Gemini and Virgo will continue to share Mercury's rulership, although it operates differently in each sign. And to the first answerer, you are the silly, ignorant one. If Venus is your ruling planet, perhaps it rules your ascendant, but it certainly does not rule Gemini or Virgo. I think you should buy an "Astrology for Beginners" handbook so you don't give silly, embarassing, ignorant answers.

The current ruling planet of Virgo is Mercury.
For along time at least in the 70's everyone wanted Vulcan to be the ruler and tried unsuccessfully to introduce it.
The reasons are long and varied but Mercury still holds the title.

Mercury rules Virgo. Venus sub-rules Virgo. Planets rule signs, not the other way around. Venus rules Libra. The Earth is represented by the first house and sub-rules Aries. Also, Midheaven is house 10, ruled by Capricorn. Virgo is aligned with house 6, which is the house of health and work.

I'm a Virgo, and I have a 'ruling planet' ... it's VENUS. You really should get some good books on Astrology and read them before you ask any more 'silly' questions.

Better still, recognize that Astrology is not valid nor a container of any hidden truths. To know the future, you need to know the past, understand human psychology and be prepared for disappointment.

Are those astroids or planets? Taurus/Libra share Venus also. I don't want them assigning Libra to a clump of hardened ice.
