Well it's 7 pm and the rain is pouring like the proverbial pisss out of a boot. My neighbor, Ernest and his wife Brigitte, are terrified of thunderstorms and the ensuing hail and wind. They have about 6 vintage autos, and only enough garage for 4 of them. So every storm, they play musical cars trying to preserve the choicest model. The wind is blowing 60 miles per hour, there is cloud to ground lightening, and harsh rain with marble sized hail. What is Ernest doing? He is wearing a German army, wool trench coat and a military pot helmet, and he is trying to cover his auto with an over-sized American flag while dodging thunderbolts!! The wind is whipping the flag off the auto, as Ernest runs in circles looking for a way to secure it. When I open my window I can actually hear the hail hit his helmet and the car. This is quite a sight really. I should get the camcorder before a tree falls on him!! Brigitte in her thickest German is yelling commands and urgings above the wind and thunder. She's a good girl, strong, still has a shrapnel in her from World War II. I suppose she can get this fool to come inside. Have a great time in London!! And thanks for having me look outside the window! Who would want to miss this?

Not to be outdone, once Ernest saw me when my Pug grabbed the back of my britches and pulled them straight down baring my bum to all the world. Her teeth got caught in the cloth so I was going in circles, moon glowing, trying to detach her. Ernest saw the whole thing and has never once mentioned it at dinners, picnics, cook-outs or birthday parties. He is a true gentleman!

i cant see a thing, i live in a basement apt. ant its a smaller widow, and up tp high. BUT, i have to tell u a true story, that happened to me when i lived up north!!
i ALWAYS fed the squirrels peanut butter crackers or bread, through an opened screened window, while i sat at my kitche table, having my cofee,,they would become soooo used to me that they would come and sit in the sill a foot away and sit there and take it right from my hand!!!
about 3am. one morn. it was real dark, hot, i had the windoe open, was sitting there all alone reading the paper, all of a sudden i heard a lot of noise, looked up and there were TWO squirrels, ON my kitchen table, looking at me, scared the crapeers right out of me!!!they wanted ther food!!!didnt know they had, had babies!!!!! when i came back from making them some crackers there they were,,,, 2 adult squirrls, and 5 real small ones all in my house, all on my table!! it was truly AMAZEING!!. they trusted me so much that this became a several times a day ritual.
also trusted my kids, cause after about two weeks of this, my kids were out on the grass, and these babies actually climed all over my children and chased them on there bikes!!!and played... this went on all that summer, until they were old enough to leave the nest and be on there own..it has never happened sence, and probbaly never will. ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT!!!!!!

My husband has just come back from walking the dogs, and as he came up by the side of the house both dogs went mental their hackles went up and both were snarling away at something my husband couldn't see, there was TRAMP, stinking of alcohol laying under the car, my husband was fuming, he told him that the people that live here, let him sleep there every night. I said have you moved him on, he said no he,s making sure it doesn't get broken into. He's just took him a cuppa and a sandwich, because he knows what it's like to be skint. We are in the east Midlands by the way, so good morning.

It's still light here. I can see my neighbors accross the street are standing around talking outside. I have my curtains open and I'm sure they can see me too. But I didn't know they were out there while I was dancing around the room listening to my iPod! I feel like an idiot, and we have only lived in this house for a week, I could die. I've never met any of them and they've already seen me dancing like a fool! Yeah, I need to close the curtains the next time I dance to a remix of I'm your Boogeyman by KC & the Sunshine Band.

I'm in Birmingham where it's pitch black. I don't have the light on and i am using my notebook under my duvet. But when i move the curtains i can see my backyard, a rail line and a spaghetti junction/highway. And i can see a reflection of my face in light on the mirror along with the notebook. Quite creepy...

An ugly, rusted car that has been parked there for a whole year, other cars that belong to the people who live in my apartment complex, a mountain, and some hippie dude who works for my landlord...blowing weeds away with a leaf blower......honest....he has dreads down to his butt, and wears the same tie dye shirt and khaki cargo shorts every single day.

8:22 pm here, and I'm looking out and don't see anything but my back deck and woods. I know what you mean about the kitten looking at you tho, because my cat has done that to me and scared the hell out of me.
