try sleeping on the couch so he knows your really want one if you have one
or put a jar out and just start putting spare money in it and nag him thats the only way to get things done sometimes.
or go spend a night or 2 at you parents so he know you really want this

I sleep on a mattress that's just on the floor...doesn't bother me (I'm 40 yrs. old, by the way.) I did it as a teen, too, and it's just not a big enough deal to me to spare extra $ I can use toward something else. I'm a single mom, also, with 4 kids. They ( 3 teens still at home) have boxsprings and mattresses, and two have frames. I'm not embarrassed about it; I think it's kind of fun and cool.
But if you hate it, then you should get a frame and box spring when you're able to.

You have 3 options:
1. Allow your dad to generously buy you that box frame. He's your dad, If you need him, he'll help, just be appreciative.
2. Save up the $$ to buy the box frame.
3. Sleep on the floor, which, by the way, is not that much less comfortable than a box frame if you really do have a good mattress.

Let you Dad buy it! If he has the money and wants to do it, then let him. You will always be his little girl, even though you're a grown up Mommy you are still his baby girl. Life is too short to sleep on the floor, child.

I prefer to sleep on the floor but my GF will not allow it. When I go on training I sleep on the floor. In Iraq I slept on the floor... the floor just feels better on the back.

I've done that before. You have nothing to be embarrassed about. If your company isn't going to buy you a bed frame then they have nothing to say.

Your additional details said it all. Bad back sleep on the floor on your back. It is as simple as that.

Bed frames are pretty cheap. Try garage sales also.

I hate to say it but it sounds to me like if you need something you`ll have to buy it yourself because it looks like you can`t depend on your boyfriend for any help.

Get yourself a part-time job. Your loser boyfriend is spending all his cash on his honey in Australia.
