Some ideas I have are roll-up doors or doors that role along the wall to the sides.

Where i live dirt shifts alot and I'm worried the kind that roll to the sides will get messed up from shifting dirt. Hinges won't work because i need a big door for horses to come out of.

Probably ones that roll to the side are best. The roll up kind can be noisy and horses can spook from excessive noise. Also over time the roll ups will most likely require more maintenance.

The hanging doors that roll to the side are definitely more trouble free and less expensive to install than roll ups. But don't forget KISS. Keep it simple sister. The most trouble free and most inexpensive are the regular old hinged kind. Just don't scrimp on the hinges.

i think that the rolling doors would work. we have rolling doors on our barn which was built in 97 or 98 and is still in good shape, and so does my aunt and her barn was built in the 70's and they havent had to do any remodling all you have to do is take care of it and the barn. i hope that helped.
