Of all the terrible things that Bud Selig has done for baseball, he has done a great job of promoting baseball worldwide. The advent of players from Japan, Korea, and China making their way into the MLB has had a great impact on worldwide interest in baseball. The World Baseball Classic was a success, and should continue to be a success in future years.

MLB is really good at promoting their product. Off season tours and games involving MLB players. You might remember the Yankees and Devil Rays playing opening day in Japan a few years back. Lots of activities and scouts in Latin countries. All you have to do is look at the rosters of every team and the number of foreign players increasing every year. MLB does a real good job.
