I received many thoughtful answers , however, nobody mentioned health care reform, SS and Medicare issues, moral decay that has been progressing for decades- what about this?

Social Security is defunct. I don't worry about its future because I am convinced that it has none, at least as far as my checkbook is concerned.

The reality is that most people only see them as drains, even though the government steals from the SS trust fund and doesn't pay it back, then claims it is going bankrupt! Well duh!!

They are more interested in corporate welfare than they are people bleeding to death on Emergency Room floors while Md's and nurses just stepped over the person, or they hire cab drivers to pick up the ill at hospitals and drop them off on skid row! When they get caught they blame the cab drivers.

We have a lot of pressing issues that have been ignored far too long, but our number one issue is getting Bush out of office before he does something stupid again!

The most pressing issue is getting rid of the Bush Junta. The retarded policies of this administration are driving the US into a deep economic, social, scientific and political black hole. Since this bunch of cold war retreads has come on board the United States at best has been marking time while the world situation spins out of anyones control. All of the issues you mentioned are issues directly related to the incompetence of the right wing facisti maniacs that have hijacked the GOP. Specifically their belief that the US needs to borrow billions everyday to occupy Iraq to insure a supply of oil we don't need. Fighting 'terrorism'? Hardly...more like creating terrorism. Don't get me started!

I think health care is maybe my number one issue...

that and education... followed by the war on terror...

and moral decay, if you ask me, is a relative issue that's always been in effect... the older generation always thought the younger had "decaying moral values" in seemingly almost every point in history...
