I have this realllly close male friend and lately he has been talking a lot about MY marriage (i'm still single)..he says things like "if you ever get married, your husband ................" etc. .... Could it be that he's serious about me and giving me hints?

yes....teens do this,too..."So....if you had a boyfriend..." It used to creep me out in school.

Either he is wearing a massive neon sign that says "I really like you, be with me" or maybe he is just a friend who wants to see you happy.

It's possible. He could be scoping out what you want to see if he fits it before telling you anything of his feelings.

you didnt say if he was building him up,complimenting him or tearing him down?
If he is critical,may be some jealousy or envy
the best way to find out is to ask him,straight up.
