The way things are shaping up, it looks like Syria's going to attack Israel sometime in late August. The Syrians have dismantled checkpoints in their south along the border with Israel and the Syrian Government has ordered all Syrian students to leave Lebanon and return to their homes.
My guess is that we'll see them recalling diplomats from Lebanon as well as Jordan and Egypt about a week before the attack.
The Iranians have been funneling arms and material to Hizbollah during the past six-eight months and it looks like they've been getting Iranian versions of the N. Korean medium-range missles as well as more Katushas.
Hizbollah's been spreading quietly throughout the villages along the Israeli border and stockpiling their weapons with night-movements.
The smart money's on Iran using Syria and Hizbollah in the north and Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza to open two fronts in the war, but that's already been tried and failed.
This time, after all the terrorist attacks in the West, the Muslims are going to be on their own. France won't support them, Whitehall can't cheer them on, the E.U. and the U.N. are muzzled by world opinion against Muslim terror now, and even the major Muslim players like Saudi Arabia won't be able to publically endorse the attack.
Late-breaking development . . . July 8th . . . the E.U. is pulling it's 80+ monitors from the Rafah Crossing. Do they already know something?
The Muslims, as always, are their own worst enemies.
It'll be interesting to see how they play this one . . .

Wow, you obviously need to be a marshan or lower than eight years historic. If you are the latter, sorry child, here is your clarification: September eleven, 2001............. Assholes................ Planes................ Americans........... Buildings.......... Thousands of blameless men and women killed. Innocent Americans, like your self. Put your ENTIRE household in Tower a million on that day, at the most sensible flooring, and give up being egocentric. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You will have to be grateful that you just are living in a nation wherein you'll be able to voice your opinion at the same time the men and women that combat for that freedom (provider contributors) are the very men and women that you're no longer helping by means of writing the sort of query. Also, be grateful that your query did not learn: "What on this planet is the MIDDLE EAST doing in AMERICA?"

According to Bible Prophecy there will be one war after another. The Russian's will team up with Iran & other Muslim Countries and attack Israel. And that is just the begining. Then The EU and the Western Country will invade and then Egypt and 200 Million men from China will march across the Euphrates River. These wars will last for 7 years. This is the last battle between good and evil, it is called Armageddon.
All Christians will be Raptured out by Revelation 4, what remains are for those left behind. Horror

A look at history demands a rephrasing of the question: When will there not be a war in the Middle East?

Just watch some of the indicators. Especially reports or rehash of all the cruelties of the holocaust. The neo-conservatives are raising their heads again. How great our air force is. All these activities of Iran in neighboring states being suddenly reported (remember that our "Intel" organizations had never anything right in their analysis).

The middle east is always ridden with problems you can call a modern kind of war - terrorism, fanaticism and religious war between the moderates and fanatics. So there is a war and this kind of war is spreading throughout the world.

Most likely the next time Israel provokes another attack on one of their neighbors, and we don't immediately respond. After the Lebanon incident, the UN will no longer support them, therefor opening the door for a counter attack the next time they push their luck.
