No. The simplest form of reasoning being is that you did not use proper punctuation. Ergo, you can't have had that good of an education. Education is essential for the betterment of the people, and thereby the country. No, indeed not.

Only for those who live there........... For me, the U.S.A. has both positive and negative aspects. It is true that is a place with many opportunities for foreigners, providing more freedom, a better life, but I dislike the attitude of the U.S.A. towards other countries, like Iraq. The real reason of the war was the need of resources (especially petrol), not the regime of Saddam Hussein. Look at the situation from Iraq....... how do you feel when you see the images of war, of injured children left without parents, of burning cities, of desperate people? I remember the first images that I saw from the war in 2003....... I was terrified, because in the XXI th century we should not consider war a way of solving political problems... I hate the fact that the U.S.A. always judges other countries and tries to interfere in their political system, creating problems.... For example the aspect of nuclear weapons in Iran and South Korea...... I don't think that the U.S.A. doesn't has this kind of weapons..... I don't believe in your countrie's pacifist image...... you destroyed it by starting the war in Iraq; you didn't manage to solve anything...the situation from there is worse than befor.... I don't blame the Americans, I blame your president......and I'm sorry to say this........ There are many other aspects that I dislike. For example why did the U.S.A. refuse to sign the treaty related to environment in Kyoto?
Because that would affect its economy and development! It doesn't matter that the ozon layer above your country is depleted because of the polluting industry........... it is more important to have a developed society in an unhealthy, dangerous environment!? Sorry for being so angry, bur that's the reality. And your country has a positive image only among politicians.......the media and the people will always have a different opinion.

I lived and worked overseas in a number of countries for almost twenty years. Now I am back in the US. I wish I was still overseas. However, the answer to the question really depends on your circumstances-not the place. A person's satisfaction with their home, their family, their job-these make you happy, not where you are. Certainly we have a heath care system and an educational system far below that of many other industrialized countries. If you are rich, America is the best place. But for other people, I don't think so.

Well actually the Republic of Texas is the best country on earth. But since we are now part of America that makes America the best country on earth. But of course I am prejudice in that regard:

This is a how much you love your country question: It makes no difference what country it is. I have never met anyway who did not think their country was the best in the world.

If I had been born in London I would be screaming out England is the best country in the world.

If I had been born in Scotland would be screaming out Scotland is the best country in the world.

If I had been born in France I would be screaming out France is the best country in the world.

No! I am American and we definitely aren't the "best".

No country is better than another!

If your gage is material things, yes. If you are judging morality and faith in God, no. Ever read about Ancient Rome? Trade the chariots for SUV's, that's us.

Come on, where else can you get a sizzling hamburger full of rancid grease at 3 a.m.?
Where else can you watch the most violent shows not only in theatres but on the street?
What other nation has more crooked cops?
What other nation has the world's most brilliant and eloquent leader?
What other countries has rednecks who will kill you if you mention that you don't like Bush?
Where else can you buy more junk that in the good ole U.S.?

It differs for every person.
So I think you should ask this question to yourself.
Some people hate the United States.
Others love it, mostly the people from the United States.
Or maybe people that see many opportunities here so want to come here.
I personally think, yes, it is the best country in the world.

??????

We offer certain opportunities, and we lack in other areas.

Basically, Americans think it is.

But some foreigners do, too.

And some Americans think we could do better.

Do YOU think it is?
