well i have an 02 oldsmobile auora and i got it like 3 months ago and i have been noticing latly that everyonce in a while my car will like juerk when i press the gas. its kind of a big jerk that my head moves and it will keep going that for like 3 mintues then it will stop. I use 87 gas. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

I once heard that the Olds Aurora runs best on premium, but I wouldn't guess that that has anything to do with the symptoms you've described.

I would check out your throttle linkage and all involved see if you have something gummed up and sticking or anything to that effect, or you might have a floor mat riding up under the accelerator pedal.

I don't think that is transmission. Sorry I can't be more help. That's not what happens when a transmission slips though.

Is it a stick shift?

Sounds like your transmission is slipping. Take it to Auto Zone and have them hook it up to the computer. It is free and will tell you what is going on.
