I've been a Vegetarian all of my life. Ever since I was born, I hated meat and I hated the taste of it. No one in my family is a vegetarian and they all tried to change it when I was younger, but now that I am an adult, I'm a vegetarian because of animal cruelty and animal rights. I also hate meat anyway!
I don't wear leather or any animal products either.

We dont need meat to survive. Obviously, or their would be no vegetarians. Vegetarians happen to have longer life expectancies.
All of those animals are tortured. Extremely. Most never see the light of day. They are overwork, overfed, living in unsanitary places, full of diseases, pumped full of hormones. they dont kill the animals, then get the meat, they do it while they are alive

Not officially. I don't declare myself to be, since I still eat poultry and seafood about once per month each. But I do lean in that direction. Mostly just because I have a lot of vegetarian recipes that are tasty and it's just easier to prep veggie meals than to deal with preparing a meat featured meal in a lot of cases.

I was for 10 years. It started out because I didn't wanna touch raw meat because it bled (I've got a weak stomach). Then I got into yoga and kept at it for health reasons. Now I eat meat once in a while, but I still eat mostly veggies and tofu.

I'm a vegetarian because meat is nasty. just the texture and when you eat it it feels like your chewing flesh and muscle that could just as easily be human as cow or sheep or whatever. we are all mammals after all, and I just can't see any difference in cannibalism and eating animal meat if we all come from the same class.

kind of. i limit the amount of meat i eat to chicken and then only every one and a while. for the same reasons you mentioned. animals suffer horribly for our meat industry. chicken is just too tasty sometimes. i think i might stop though.

It's all animal cruelty for me...animals were NOT meant to be eatten. NO THEY WERE NOT PUT ON THIS EARTH TO BE EATTEN.

Definitely. Why eat something with a face and a life when there are so many other options?
