Perhaps many of you missed the part where it said her father talked her into it because the Alabama Democrats wouldn't let him register as a Democrat!!

Doesn't mean she changed Ideologies just went where she could register then!

Yes, she became a Republican after Jimmy Carter's disastrous foreign policy (as did my father). It was the last time he'd ever vote for a Democrat. I admire Jimmy Carter for making so many Democrats turn to the Republican Party.

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat until the age of 39 and FDR used to be a Republican, but didn't want to be confused with Teddy Roosevelt's sons who indicated they would be running for political office as adults.

FDR didn't want to get lost in a pack of Republican Roosevelts so he re-registered as a Democrat.

Did you know she was a top executive at Chevron (Standard Oil) until January 2001? She was such a good performer for them they named a super tanker after her. Her buddy Hamid Karzai ("president" of Afghanistan) was a lifer at Unocal (Union Oil). Also Haliburton was originally an oil production system building contractor...they "branched out" during the 1980's oil slump.

Hmmm...wonder if all this war BS has anything to do with OIL?

That is strange but plausible. Rice defends Bush but she has never spoken out about her own opinions on social or economic issues. All I know about her is that she was hired by the first Bush becuase of her expertise in Russian history.

How old was she in 1982? Couldn't have been very old.

Come on. Are you telling me that you, raised in a Conservative home have always been a Liberal? Because I could do a ton with that information.

Why go here?

I think you are being presumptuous to assume that Condoleeza Rice is hypocritical. Perhaps she changed her political ideologies since that time.
