That website was done with Adobe Macromedia Flash. The program that lets you create things like that (Flash CS3) costs over $500 and it takes a while to learn.

How? It's basically a PHP content management system / database pulling Flash container which pulls a bunch of pictures for slidehow (also from database).
Does that help? Or not really?
