what does it do and are the boxes that say disable script debugging or internet explorer and other susposed to be checked so it's disabled

Internet Explorer will allow you to attempt to debug JavaScript scripts that have errors.

Generally speaking, it's a pretty useless feature -- since even if you debug it, you can't send the cleaned-up code back to the server, and will continue to get errors -- so you should disable it.

what are you trying to do when the error occurs? this might help you find the solution, step by step. if it happens just opening calendar, you might need to try re-instaling the application, or that portion of it. a hint on that: do not simply over-write the calendar application; remove it entirely and do a fresh re-install from the master disk
