I am 17 years old turning 18 in August, I got a lisence and a car and unfortunately, I don't have any money left to pay for gas, food and clothes. What would be your best suggestion about what I should do, where to work, or what?

I don't really want to get one of those jobs that you have to work at for a long time because I do have to go back to school in the fall and don't want to work somehere like that and quit after about 1-2 months so I don't know what to do.

You have several options. Apply at a grocery store, a restaurant, etc. Those businesses commonly hire students and will cut your hours during the school year to suit your schedule. The best job, IMHO, is McDonalds. I worked there for several years, in high school and college. I got scholarships from them, and an incredibly flexible schedule. If I needed time off to study, I got it. It also paid about $1.50 an hour more than any other job I'd applied for, and was a better working environment. People may not like McDonalds, but it really isn't half bad. If it hadn't been for McDonalds, I wouldn't have gone to law school.

Check with Temp agencies. They often have more positions available during the summer as many people take vacation time. Because such positions are temporary by nature, you don't 'burn bridges' by leaving when the job is over. If the agency knows in advance when you will return to school, the won't put you in a position that lasts longer than you are available.

Well search for places in McDonald's, KFC and generaly fast foods and restaurants! Now in the summer time, they will need more places as more people will come. However, i am not sure if there are places left.
