Unfortunately, a lot longer than I have left to live. But I'd probably live a lot long if I did 'cause that's exactly the number of pounds I need to loose. How did you know that?

Now, a "real" response. If you're going to loose the weight through conventional methods (limit calories + exercise) and you want to keep it off shoot for 10 pounds per month. Although you could loose it a lot quicker pace it over 6 months. Good luck. (And if you're successful let me know how you did it, please.)

The average is about two pounds a week, but I have lost 80 pounds in 2 months before with extreme exercise and a very restricted diet. See your doctor.

You can lose 60lbs safely in 6 months. You should aim for 10lbs a month(about 2.2lbs a week). Don't be discouraged if you reach a plateau. It happens. When I got rid of my weight, I would go about 2-3 weeks without losing a POUND and then have 2-3 weeks in a row of losing 3-6lbs. If you lose just .5lb in a week, it is still a loss.

When I did Weight Watchers, it took me 5 months to lose 30 pounds.....So, I'm guessing about 10 months.....Good luck to you. Losing weight sometimes seems like a goal that will never come, but in the end when all is said and the weight is gone----Wow!!! What a feeling!! :)

They say that to lose the weight safely and keep it off is to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. Given that, you can then figure out approx how long it should take to lose that amount.

depends on how fast you work, if you starve your self and try really hard and not drink anythng but water ( im doin all that now) you can loose weight fast. i lost 5 lbs in 1 week so far by working out every day, playing tenis every day, eating almost nothing and drinking a **** load of water.
