It is perfectly legal for the funeral home to only purchase from a single florist. Requiring their clients to deal with that florist is a different matter. Unless the flowers are included in the funeral package, in which case you shouldn't care were they are purchased, you can buy them anywhere you want.

Lots of companies will gain contracts with others for those purposes. The funeral home probably gets a deal and the florist gets the business. Its win win for everyone. All one would have to do to gain business is get with the direcer of the funeral home and offer a better deal.

it should it be, but all of them have like a connection between them, guess what? I use to work in a tumbstone place, and there's a funeral home right across the street, the was also a florist shop down the block, and I'll be more specific, this is on westchester ave. Bronx, ny. so everytime they had a goog list of deads my boss will buy it, and then we call to offer the tumbstone, and plus, when you are in the funeral home making arrangements somebody from the florist shop get close to you and guide you from where you can get good and cheap flowers, and since I've been in the business for a whole year I could tell that all of them has like a mafia asociation, ain't that awful, I quit.

No.

I know of funeral homes that have a flower shop in them. A funeral home is no different then anyone else, they look for the best price. People forget, the funeral business is just that a business!!! There are funeral homes that have exclusive contracts for different needs.
