So Im thinking someone who works at a technology publication (ie: Cnet/ZDnet/PCmag etc) or somthing similar who is basically a lab person who runs the tests on new gadgets, tvs, phones, computers, gaming consoles

its somthing that i would have a real passion for, I love all things tech, but Im not sure what this job is even called, where I should look, what geographic areas, what skills I should present myself with. anyone know?

You can come work for CNET in San Francisco. They're always hiring, though entry positions don't do much review, mainly update websites and news and grunt work like that.
