ps3 i have it its so awsome,plus i heard the x-box breaks realy easily, and even somtimes explodes

XBOX 360 has more games than does the PS 3 but the XBOX reportedly has overheating issues. The PS 3also comes with a blu-ray dvd built in wehreas the XBOX 360 has an HD-DVD that you have to buy as an add-on.
At this point, XBOX has a better online scheme for game playing but it costs roughtly $50 a year while the PS 3 has a free online community.
Bottom line, just buy the system that has the games you like the best. If you're a halo fan then the 360 is what you'll want if not then the ps 3 isn't a bad choice.
Me personally, I've been a playstation fan since the ps1 so for me the choice wasn't hard to make.

The 360 is better in every way than the PS3. Its fans can't even read so just ignore their comments. Also, the two most-popular defenses for the PS3 are "better graphics" (which a. shouldn't matter to a gamer and b. actually isn't true) and "great games like Rainbow Six Vegas and Ninja Gaiden!" The former has been on the 360 longer and the latter is a port of an ORIGINAL Xbox title. No contest on that one, however the Wii is better than the 360. Get that instead.

You should totally think about getting the Xbox 360, there are dozens at successful video games for it, but for the PS3, there are about 2 or or 3, and you can see how that's a problem. In my opinion, the Xbox 360 definitely

Lets see.
Does a PS3 break easily like a 360?.... nope.
Will you be able to buy ALL of those $60 games for the 360? No, exactly. So, buy the few good PS3 games that are out now (Resistance, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Motorstorm, Rainbow6 Vegas) and enjoy those, then when the amazing PS3 titles come, you will already have a PS3 to play them (GTA5, Assassins Creed, Lair, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Resident evil 5)
Unless you want to take a chance with the 360 (thats not as powerful, has no movie capability unless you buy an HD attachment and breaks easily) go ahead. I mean, you'll have Halo and Bioshock... but really everyother game is also on the PS3.
If you have the money, buy PS3. If you don't... hold off with your old consoles and play some old games and THEN buy a ps3 when its cheaper.

ok i have an xbox 360 and my friend has a ps3. i've played both i'm more satisfied and he is too with the xbox 360. the ps3 may have free internet explorer. but the games it has aren't very good and a few game companies refuse to make games because the ps3 requires twice as many lines of code to create a game. the free online maybe great for the ps3 but sony is leaving it up to the game makers to decide whether or not to charge for going online with their games. xbox 360 charges one flat price it's easier to log onto live than it is with the online with ps3. with all the money you save on buying an xbox 360 you can afford to spend some on the live. the xbox 360 may overheat but it has a free one year warranty on it by microsoft. just send in your xbox 360 they'll repair it and service it. if it is unfixable they will send you a new one.

Just asked the same question of staff in eb games, they advised on the xbox 360, do not need to pay for extra cables for hdtv like you do for ps3, also has more games and will play most of the regular xbox games also. graphics are as good as they get.....I also have the wii which is great.

360 is alot better just because its not overwealmingly expensive still a bit pricey and considering the amount of good games XBOX LIVE games out there your better of getting a 360 Im not dissing the PS3 its just my opinion Also the wii is a good secondary console and is good as a main console to.

I'd say wii would be much more fun, but between the 360 and ps3 definitely(sp?) the 360. It is less expensive, so you could buy more games, and if you were getting them for guitar hero it is basically the same on both. so yeah, 360.

PS3 i havent got one but the ps1 and 2 where/are awesome so the third going in theory should be better and im not really a fan of the xbox
