I would dispute your assertition many Jews despise Christians, but the reason that Evangelical Christians support Israel probably has something to do with the belief that the Israel will play a role in bringing about the end times, and getting all the born again folks raptured up to heaven.

It's probably also a factor that Israel, like most "Christian" countries, is a democracy and shares a lot of values.

I have never known any Jewish people that despised Christians. I have known a lot of Christians that simply don't like any one following Judaism, or any religion other than Christianity.
As far as the Talmud referring to boiling Jesus in excrement, that is just idiotic. Talmudic scholars and historians have long debated whether these passages are actually about Jesus. There is no definitive proof whatsoever that any of the passages are about Jesus, or reference him in any way. I am not sure where you get your "information", but I suggest some research other than a Christian one. I suggest a less biased source, one not Jewish, or Christian.

Many Christians despite Jews as well. I'm a Christian, I do not despise Jews, I support Israel. I suppose the answer to your quote would be in the wording of your opening sentence. "Many" Jews openly despise Christians, rather than "All" Jews openly despite Christians.

Their religion and culture are based on hard work and money, they have the same work ethic in spades that most Americans inherited from their Anglo Saxon ancestors . Both religions fundamentally believe themselves to be 'the chosen ones' but (probably due to being at the top of the food chain) don't generally feel the need to rub others noses in that fact overtly. We also support Israel now as the potential 'battering ram' into the whole Middle East; there is still enough cheap oil there to make installing puppet regimes at almost any cost (as in Iraq) profitable in the long term. Unfortunately the costs involved in repression and domination that were easily bearable will escalate exponentially if occupation proves unsustainable. Modern day Israel is a direct creation of the American government after WW2 against the previous owners advice and wishes, see att.

Israel is a free country with a functioning representative government in the heart of the otherwise dysfunctional Middle East. Israel is friendly to America, and they share many of the same goals.

We support most, if not all, governments that are representative.

It has nothing to do with the Joooos or Jesus.

The Talmud does not mention Jesus- ever. He is a complete non-entity and is not discussed in the Talmud. the passage the hate mongers like to claim is linked to Jesus is actually referring to Bilaam, the Midianite propeht and sorcerer hired by Balak to curse the Jewish people. There is no ambiguity in that passage, Bilaam is named clearly.

I support Israel because is the only real democracy in the Middle East. Not for religious reasons. The talmud says that but it doesn't necessarily reflect the views of the people who read it.

I have never gotten the impression that Jews hate Christians . . . I should hope that they don't at any rate.

I think that the horrors played out by the Nazis against the Jews is part of the reason the US feels so strongly about our allegiance with Israel.

It doesn't matter. Christians are commanded to love EVERYONE, even their enemies. However, Jesus was a Jew. Most Christians view Judaism as Christianity without Christ.... so THEY were the "originators." Also, we believe in the same God. And Christians feel it is important to spread the word of Jesus to the Jews. Of course, they can choose not to accept Him.
