I am looking to buy a new laptop to replace my Toshiba P15. I will be using it for gaming, taking to high-school and taking notes, and doing homework. I have narrowed it down to the Toshiba x205-s9359 and the Asus G2S. If I get the Asus G2S, it will be from GenTech computer and will replace the hard drive with a Seagate 100GB 7200rpm S-ATA, adding 1gb of ram for a total of 3gb, and adding 1GB Intel Turbo Memory Card. The Toshiba I would be getting from the cheapest retailer. I am a proud supporter of Blu-Ray, so the HD-DVD drive in the Toshiba is nothing big, but I do like the TV Tuner, and the better video card with more VRAM. However, I really like the included backpack with the Asus. I would love to have any help I can get. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I am technology oriented around an 8.
Thanks!

Hi. They both look like really good machines with the Toshiba being a bit more expensive. You really have to go with the graphics performance. The Asus site shows some great (fast) lag times but this may or may not help with the gameplay. (I have a tiny lag and it seems to smooth out the action. My opinion.)

what's your reasoning for identifying on those 3? photos-sensible, you will get the ultimate overall performance out of the Toshiba. in the adventure that your widely used difficulty is potential to interest with respectable settings (IE: Fallout 3 on severe+), then decide for the Toshiba. something decrease than the x600 selection of the two ATI or NVidia's chipset is going to be lackluster interior the photos branch, in spite of the onboard VRAM. That being reported, in case you will desire to discover an ASUS pc that has a quite extra useful photos card yet has the comparable 2x2gb 800MHz memory, then that would desire to be something to make like to.

i personally support asus. Alsoi don't know how you're gunna get 3 gb in it, i personally would say go with 2 gb in it already OR 4 gb, because the dual channel system is one of the better things to boost performance. i would not have a 1 gb and a 2 gb stick of ram. also if yer gunna be taking it to school i would go with something a tad smaller with maybe a 15" system instead of a 17" because those things are massive.

although... i am slightly leaning towards the Toshiba because of the new santa rosa chipset they put into it. it is said to be better than the current chipsets.
