u can't generalize common sense down to a specific gender. I would say that the common human has common sense. I find that sometimes people over-think things (me for instance) and forget common sense, but we all have it.

"Common sense is in great supply, every man believes he has it!" - forget who said that but its true. Every person believes that they have common sense, whether or not thats true depends on the indevidual. As for the common man/woman it depends, everyone has something that, to them, is common sense, although it may be greek to the rest of us

There are seven types of intelligence:-
Logical/Mathematical
Linguistic
Emotional
Physical
Musical
Creative
Intuitive
Therefore we all at some time lack 'common sense' in one or more of these areas, whereas at another time we may demonstrate it in a different aspect of intelligence. It's good that we are all different and can learn from each other.

Honestly it depends on the people, not in the sex.
There are very dumb women and men but there is some very wise men or women around.
