I really don't know. The man has a huge fine to pay and his life is ruined. Seems his punishment is already greater then most would have gotten for what amounts to a security violation. Some folks really have to stop using emotionally laden words that have no bearing in this like "treason". Do they have the slightest concept of what this word means?

Yeah isnt this just nuts...I had found something online that showed how many pardons each president has given and Bush is like really really low with just his 76. Some of them Pardoned 1000's and well Clinton pardoned congressmen, a governor, cia agent, his own druggy brother. He also himself lied on the witness stand and never served a day in jail and was allowed to remain President. People just want to find yet another reason to fault our President who has lowered our taxes, helped to try and stop terror and many other things.

First off, the actions of one person, in no way, excuses the actions of another. Most of us have caught on to this reality somewhere around 5 years of age.

Secondly, none of those listed involved themselves in an overt act of treason.

Third, you are comparing "pardons" with "comutations." It's apples and oranges.

Finally, simply listing names with a one sentence blurb hardly represents the true facts and conditions of the individual cases. For example, the lawyer for Rich who drafted and presented the petition for his pardon was one I. "Scooter" Libby.
