This lady that works at my office as a part-time employee (a job that we generally hire high schoolers for) has several college degrees. When I asked her why she isn't working in the field she earned her degrees in, she said she never intended to use her degrees for work-purposes and just wanted to get the degrees for the sake of "learning." Do you find this as strange as my coworkers and I find it strange??

Yes, I do. What is the point of spending all that money for college and then not using the degree. Maybe she's afraid she won't be able to do whatever job her degrees go with.

This woman is obviously FAR superior to you... Not only is she OVER-educated for her position, but she also has some sort of hustle on the side that allows her to cruise through life like it's nothin....
I suggest you tell your supervisor to give her a drug test because you "saw" her snorting something white and powdery in the ladies' room.
That SHOULD solve your problem, but if it doesn't, 1)Buy a bag of coke 2) Plant it in the top drawer of her desk and 3)re-inform your boss of her habit and suggest a full-desk search immediately (insist you saw her stashing something there when you asked to borrow an envelope).

I wish I could spend all that money for my own entertainment. Her fields must be competative and she lacks the 'oomph' to claw her way up.

I don't buy her story. There is probably something else that is preventing her from working in her field.
