My name is Sandra and I live in Austin Tx. And no matter what I do and what I write I cannot get anyone to resond, or to become and want to become my...FRIEND.!! What have I done that is so horrible, or is so horrible about me that no one wants to have anything to do with me at all? All I want to do is have people in my neighborhood here where I live to do something with me, and talk to every once in while, maybe go to a movie or out to eat or just simply sit at home and watch T.V. and talk on the phone. Wouldn't that be great. I don't even know why I have an answering machine. I never get any messages in it anyway. Since I don't have any friends what so ever. Who would ever call me? Why doesn't anyone want to be my friend? Isn't there anyone in the whole city of Austin Texas that wants to be my friend? ANYONE?? Am I not a good person?

Hang in there because better times are coming. It has nothing to do with you being a bad person. A lot of people are going through this and they are smart, young, interesting people.

Just a suggestion...
Try something beyond the immediate neighborhood.
Look at your schedule and see if there isn't a few hours for you to go volunteer some time to a worthwhile organization.
You'll automatically be surrounded with other civic minded people, and find yourself working side by side with countless friendship possibilities.
Remember that friendship is about bring something TO the relationship, not just coming away with something.

Sandra, you need to get over yourself already! Of course you are a good person...If you want a friend, you have to first be a friend. You may have to go out of your way to introduce yourself to someone else, instead of waiting for someone to approach you. The best thing to do is to go out and help someone less fortunate than you by volunteering your time or helping in any way you see fit. People will like you when you like them FIRST.....That's just the way it works. In the meantime quit being such a victim and do something to change your life.........Kandice
