No shame and nothing to be embarrassed about.
You never done it, well that's fine, it is just a great feeling and sometimes you get a desire and you act on it.
There is nothing better than having great sex but if you find yourself alone and you masturbate, well I have no morale issues with it, however, I would not make it a subject of conversation with my friends.

same reason guys do, it feels good. and it's completely heatlhy and normal. It may even help you in relationships in the future to know what works and what doesn't and what feels good and what doesn't so that you can show the guy (or girl).

they do it cause they need to have sexual pleasure without having sex. it lets ones self know his/her body. guys do it cause it feel great. you need to do it so you will know the pleasure of it.
