It all depends on what you use your computer for. If you are a college student, then a laptop would be beneficial because of the portability. However desktops are nicer because generally they are cheaper, faster, and have more RAM and processing speed. So for MySpace, Youtube, and online gaming, probably a desktop; but for Microsoft Office, and some easy internet surfing, then laptops are fine, even ideal maybe. And you mentioned that you liked your PC keyboard; you can connect that to your laptop too. Thats what I do and it provides a desktop like feeling when I'm at my desk and I just umplug it when I go places.

I like the comfort setting I have around my desktop PC so I prefer it , I don't feel I would often have a need for a laptop and it would probably go much unused if I had one .

A desktop -
How could I justify filling the room up with an 8 foot antique oak desk and a huge leather armchair if I just had a laptop ?

endure in techniques, laptops are not laptop pc replacements. in case you do no longer go with the portability that a computing device supplies (think of school pupil constantly hopping between training or businessperson wanting to paintings from diverse places), then you definitely're greater proper off sticking with a private pc. greater handy to enhance, greater proper cooling, and could proceed to exist being dropped.
