Why is it that every time I come on here to answer questions. Somebody is always trying 2 criticize someone's taste in rap music. And not all rap music is bad there is Gospel Rap music and they don't rap about the stuff that Hip Hop rappers rap about. We don't criticize those people who like Rock music and stuff that people who like rap music don't like. If you don't like Rap then thats u but don't critcize us.

If anyone agrees with me comment or give the question if you would like.

i agree wit yu itz not right tht otha ppl criticize otha pplz taste in music. if we lyk rap music thtz us if otha ppl dont than they dont have to like it. but they shuld have to say somethin negative about someone else's taste in music. itz lyk if we tryed to criticize them for tha music they lyk, they wudnt lyk tht. so they shuldnt b doin it to us ppl tht lyk rap music. we do us nd they do they jus cuz they don't lyk a certain type of music doesn't mean that n e one else can't lyk tht type of music. if we went around nd critcize otha ppl tht lyk country or rock or old skool or n e other kind of music they would say something bout it so they gotta think wut they say b4 they say it. cuz they aren't right. they can tlk all they wanna tlk it wud get us madd and everythin but they eventually in time wud figure out tht wut they did wuz wrong.. if not they can tlk all they want bout it nd not let it affect us. the more we show tht we care bout it tha more funn they are goin to have critcizing us for likin rap music. but anyone tht makes fun of other ppl or critcizes otherz for likin rap music is dumb. cause that's music that inspires others that aren't them. nd ppl tht lyk rap music aren't goin to stop liking rap music jus cause a couple of ppl critcize us. that's them but it will never change us from loving rap music. it's us not them.

I love and appreciate rap music. (more old school rap then new school) I don't believe that it is just about what black people go through. I think that is motived by the struggle of growing up in rough neighborhoods "ghetto" and having to be discrimated against b/c of who you are and where you come from. So its not just representation of black people, but more of a struggle. And the people that hate on it, don't understand it.

And to add on, everyone should be responsible of their action regardless of the entertainment industries. Be grown, live your life, educate yourself, and stop using the entertainment industry for our problems.

Good point! Rap represents the street and the things we blacks have to deal with on a day to day basis. Old school rap I prefer more than gangsta rap so therefore I listen to it more. If someone doesn't like any type of rap then they shouldn't listen to it!

I agree. I was watching rap city and it was a ladies round table. One female said that rap was the scapegoat of all America's problems. They blame rap for violence instead of many rapper's inspriration: Scarface. They blame rap for the use of the "n" word instead of Quieten Tarantino who uses the word all the time.

If you're going to blame rap, then you need to blame the whole entertainment industry.

I dont really like rap becuz it dosent really make any since....y talk bout girls, money, fame,or a dance move?!?! Just get real and juz say it. nobody really cares about thier life. I like R&B personaly tho.
