I called HP and they dont have an adapter. Obviously they want me to buy a new printer. Can anyone help?

You can purchase either a PCI parallel port card, eg, from SIIG, and use the usual parallel printer cable for connection.

You can also purchase a usb/parallel port adapter ( look for them on eBay - there are many ), that has a USB on one side and the parallel port on the other. They are made by many manufacturers, D-Link is one as an example.

Upgrade is the best option. HP has an offer. It takes back ur old printer and give u new printer for cheap price. call them 1-800-474-6836.

most computers i know of also come with a parallel port already installed so you can hook up that kind of printer. look in the back of your computer. i bet you find it.
