Thus exposing millions of people to malaria?

BTW...how many of you heard about this? (That dangers of DDT are erroneous)

YES...
DDT is not now, nor has it ever been cancer-causing.
DDT was known to be non-carcinogenic by the EPA before it was banned.
DDT is the cheapest, most effective means of fighting malaria.
DDT could have saved the lives of over 10 million people in the third-world.
Tree-hugging enviro-nazis led the charge to ban DDT based on specious claims that it harmed some birds ( An EPA finding of fact refutes this), and therefore are responsible for a greater crime against humanity than the Holocaust.

That's only partly true. The DDT has a half life it lasts so long in the eco system. There are many pesticides that are equally as effective without the detrimental impact.
The problem is that because they don't last as long it becomes more expensive and they need to be applied more and some are equally as carcinogenic as the DDT.
The main benefit to banning it is the return of many bald eagles, egrets, herrings, and many other birds that rely on that branch of the eco system...water.
There were very few other benefits

I have been aware of that for years. Trying to get people to listen and change their minds seems impossible. Rachel Carson has been shown to be incompetent. But she still gets treated like a heroine.

Not in the US, malaria has been all but wiped out due to DDT.

It's still used in Africa to some extent, but in many areas, the misquitos have become resistent. But where it still works, I'm fine with it being used.

It was used in South Carolina near Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie. Many fish died from the runoff into the lake when it rained. I personally know about this.
