Computers CAN use ram that of different speeds, IF the suport chips are designed to detect and change the access rates. If this is a fairly old PC, you MUST check the motherboard manufacturer's book [or site] to see if the 3200 is supported.
To swap DDRAM for RDRAM - almost certainly NOT.
For any of us to give a pat answer - impossible, because we don't know your hardware.

No it will not operate,you will get a loud beep and nothing will happen, just buy some of the same online as it is pretty cheap.

no it will not work ddram will not work in a rdram slot. rdram, is'int that server class ram ?

i know that some mother boards support sd and ddr ram, eg. biostars. but you have to use one or the other. the ddr is going to run alot faster than old sd ram.
