Is this another thing we can anticipate with a Democratic presidential and congressional victory in 2008? Costs of care up, birth rates of Italians down due to abortion and cost of raising children, and the need to bring in more foreigners to help care for the elderly.

Not surprising. And it won't be surprising when 'socialized' health care in America fails. Think about it--Americans trust their government run post office who work far less efficently than private carriers, despite the governments control over public education 3/4 of inner city kids can't read or write at grade level.....so why would anyone in their right mind think the goverment could run health care more efficiently and cheaper than the private sector?

Yes, 35 million are without health insurance--but they are NOT without health care. Its called medical assistance-govt sponsored. Why would we scrap a system that performs at at least 85% efficiency to "save" the other 15% who are on federally funded programs and getting the same quality health care?

Of course the figures we use in health care here include all the elective surgeries that you cant get elsewhere as part of the health care system. Most people pay NOTHING or very little to visit the doctor. Maybe their issue is actually with insurance?? The premiums have skyrocketed as states have mandated coverages for all policies for things as silly as acupuncture and massage. The states with the most mandates have the highest premiums. It is the governments intervention jacking up the cost.

Where have you been we are at that point with out socialized medicine. The health care in this country is way down. But very expensive. Have you looked at the cost of raising children and go to a Hospital we have foreigners all over the hospital floors. This has nothing to do with socialized medicine in this country it is call saving money. Do your self a favor visit a hospital

Shhh noils.

They don't wanna hear that.

They also dont care to hear that every country with a socialized system, when polled, would NOT trade it in for the American system of survival of the richest

Uhmmm...the US healthcare system ranks 37th in the world. BTW, it's twice as expensive for the poor results we get.
