"The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind."- Gordon Gekko

The USA is an honest country. People can appear "greedy" to outsiders because they do not hide their successes. Statistically, Americans are far more generous than the French, Turkish & Dutch, and somewhat more generous than the English or Irish...

Yes, the USA is greedy. They're competative. That's why they're on the top of the heap of nations. Sudan is not greedy. Where would you rather live?

I would say no, but we do have some greedy people. I say no because the USA gives to any and all who need and ask for our help. But you have a group within this country that care for only their well being and to hell with everyone else they cater to the rich .

No. The people of the United States are the first to give money and other help to countries all around the world every day, to the tune of Billions of Dollars every year. No other country can say this truthfully. God bless.

No... in fact we are the most generous nation on the planet... after any desist er it is the private donations of Americans that arrive to help those in need. Also American volunteers are among the first to arrive to render aid. However there are many losers on this planet that envy the wealth that hard work has brought us. They would trash this nation weather or not it made their lot any better.

No

The USA is the most generous country in the world. Americans give more to charity per capita than any other nation. Also, US foreign aid totals more than any other nation.

Yes.

i think we are greedy because when ever we can we push our ideals on other countries so that they can be more like us and less like their ancestors. (Example: Iraq)

we put our companies on foreign soil so that we can give them as little money as possible for their work.

the House and Senate give themselves pay raises at the end of their term so that when they get re-elected (and they will because only 97% of Congress does not change) they will be paid more.

so yes i think America is very greedy.

Edit: hillbilly- we may be the first to provide foreign aid but we are also the first to tell them that this wouldn't have happened if they were a democratic country.

very greedy from our side of the fence.
We shipped over 80% of our beef across the border, then have one case of mad cow disease and US completely shuts down the border. US continues to have the occasional mad cow case as well but continues to keep the border closed.
US imports all our wood resources when the demand is high, demand drops and shuts down the border again. US is proven wrong by internation court but US says "what can you do about it?" and keeps the border closed. Now our oils sands show that we have more oil in the tar sands than all of saudi arabia, now the government helps buy companies up here. US people are great, just your elections and politics are so fake.
I think the States needs to split up.
Can you guess what country Im talking from?
