Meriden claims to be the geographical centre of Great Britain but the British Isles include also Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. If they are included, then the centre moves to somewhere just south of Telford, Shropshire.
The Wiki below shows how to do it by approximating areas and distances, and then calculating the centre of mass.

If you took a map of the British Isles, cut it out carefully, and balanced it on a pin, it would pivot on Meriden. This is a town between Coventry and Birmingham. It is famous for its motorcycle museum (much of which was tragically destroyed in a fire some years ago. but now rebuilt, although many historic exhibits were lost forever).

Meriden West Midlands and there has been a stone cross there commemorating the claim for at least 500 years.
But is is often disputed.
And several other places have claimed it too.

Birmingham? I really don't know. Get a compass and draw a big circle on the map and look where the point landed.
