These are know as air potatoes, Know to be a problem in hotter areas like Fla. I have planted all of mine for the season. If you get these seeds from someone, plant them with sprout up of course, and in the fall the balls with appear on the vine. Remove the seed balls before frost hits them, and place them indoors until you plant them next spring
